1490 miles, 25 hours driving time from our house to Cathy's.

We have friends in the Lexington - Roanoke area of Virginia, which is almost exactly halfway, so we usually do the drive over two days.

1490 miles each way, twice a year for 11 years, plus the driving we do while in Florida - it would be interesting to calculate the miles driven per cave dive. But like dollars spent per cave dive, I'm sure that I'm happier not knowing. Whatever it is, it's worth it!

40 minute drive . . . to the airport. Then about six hours' flying time to either Florida or Mexico.

71 miles to Jackson Blue. (But only three to the jetties of Panama City Beach.)

16 hour drive from NYC to Luraville. Or a 2.5 hour flight, with another 2 hour drive from JAX upon arrival. I would love to drive and have a bit more flexibility in what my husband and I can pack, but that would tack another three days or so onto our trip, assuming we slept briefly on the road to break up the trip. Sadly, I just don't have that kind of vacation time.

Nearest dive is 56km away on the road although straight line only 15Km just a case of the river Seven being in the way. So you have to drive down to the bridge then back up.
