    Default Peacock conditions update

Since the park just opened yesterday we were very pleasantly surprised at the diving conditions. Peanut line and Cross-Over Tunnel had practically unlimited vis with just a bit of green haze. Mail Line (Olsen) not as good but was good..40'+
Orange Grove Sink was hazy but good with easy vis from top to bottom. We then dove Orange Grove /Challenge Line and it was just about spectacular...100'+
The ranger on duty was very helpful in explaining the changes in park entrance procedure. Easy. Later dive hours were in effect.

    That is awesome news!
Great report and glad to hear of the helpful Ranger.
I hope that we all can team together and keep the Rangers pleased with our use of the park.
I think once you understand the Rangers job a little better it helps to be sensitive to the schedule.

Where the old iron ranger used to be there is a clock with park closure time, but the iron ranger has moved closer to OG parking lot. Found that a line of people using the iron ranger will block exiting traffic, so entering people may want to consider it.

Found front half of the cave had 60ft viz with nice flow, back half had 80 to 100'.

Thanks everyone for the continued updates...looks like things will be cleared up for when we arrive in a few weeks.

Just got home after boating/diving off the Suwannee, Santa Fe and Ichetucknee rivers. It was chilly today, zero bugs... except a billion baby dragon flies on the Santa Fe, but they are harmless to humans.

Before the cold front, like 3 days ago, there were a few bugs out, but they weren't annoying.

Most of the caves on the Suwannee are flowing clear now (save Branford). I'll check out a couple south of Branford in a few days.

I've got to go count sharks tomorrow in south Florida.
