    Default Feel better than ever

After my heart attack last December my cardiologist cleared me to dive last month. Since then I have done 5 cave dives and I really feel more comfortable than ever before. My SAC Rate does not seem to have been affected and my body actually feels stronger.
I am writing this to encourage any diver reading this to get checked out by a doctor if you have any reason to believe that something in your physical nature is not working correctly.
I was scared to death that my doctor would never allow me to cave dive again. I was stupid in my thinking. He corrected the problem and gave me some exercises to do to prepare me for diving again.
I have always had an annual physical and every year it was great. No physical problems were ever indicated and I felt good. Notice I did not say that I felt great. Now , after my surgery, I feel great.
I am not trying to be superman in the caves but I really do know that I am a better diver now than I was before my heart attack.
Take my advice, get a physical annually and don't be afraid to be honest with your doctor. I have to admit that I wasn't.
See you girls and guys in the Dark Side.
