I did the drive last weekend. Forty mins by back roads. I don't think the major roads are faster, just longer.

Take enough tanks for two dives or rent an extra set if you own one set only. Most of the NFL dive shops rent doubles and stages. Some will also rent extra SM tanks.

Or Dive Outpost or if you're coming south on I-75 you can stop by Southern Ocean Sports in Valdosta on the way down. But in general no air within 15min of the dive site. If you are in the area diving and need air Bill or Cathy's is the nearest place.

I ended up going to CEW and diving Telford. I took the back roads, yup saved some time...I think.
