    Default Stolen dive equipment

    Hey everyone over this weekend at ginnie my dive buddy's crate with all his equipment was stolen from the backseat of his truck.as cave divers we all know how devastating this situation is and it had all his equipment in it at the time .it was apex tek 3 regs a lot of diverite reels lights backplate most marked with the initials jtb or rsh if anybody in the cave land area hears of a non diver trying to sell cave equipment for cheap or suspicious person selling cave stuff please help us get it back if possible and catch the a hole that stole it.     Bummer, sorry to hear.
    I know of some dive gear that was being sold on Craigslist, and the owner identified it and got it returned,which would be easy to monitor.

    Call any of the Pawn shops in the area or better yet, go in and take a look for any gear with his inititals on it.

    It's bad luck to be superstitious.

    We called the police and reported it stolen got a case number and are going to all local shops and pawn shops today to notify them as well as will the police it happens late yestarday.

    See the thread from Mr Grey about reel taken last week from Ginnie. not the same as 10 to 15 years ago

    Maybe I should have reported my dive boots stolen as well because they were.

    Actually, theft has been a problem at Ginnie for more than 15 years.

    Sorry to hear about that. Very frustrating.
    Planning another trip soon, think we will pass on Ginnie. Too many reports of theft there.
    Sounds like someone is systematically targeting cave divers there.

    Just curious, was the vehicle unlocked? Or did they bash their way in?
