Default Peacock is open for diving

Team was able to assess conditions and we got the green light for diving at Peacock starting today. Viz 30' in Peacock main conduits, would suspect P3 will be significantly diminished. Thanks to the NFSA line committee team for rapid response to changing conditions, and the park manager being available after hours. Stayed tuned to the NFSA Facebook page for more updates and info as well.

Considering we got the okay around 5:30pm on a Friday, you probably won't see that until Monday

Considering the rain we got in S. Ga. and N. Fl. there's probably no need to change the Peacock closed statement.

That was discussed, but it was felt it was best to open and then if conditions should change significantly then it could close. If conditions do diminish due to rising river levels we will make the information available. That being said I don't think we will see a reversal anytime soon.

Yesterday 1/24/2015 we were told by the ranger at Peacock that the Manager at Lafayette Blue Springs had for now decided not to change the Peacock Springs Park website regarding swimming and diving. She is obviously allowing swimming and diving but just was not yet planning to change the website notice.

There is a very good possibility we could see closing during the week with that fast spike in river heights right now. This will be day by day,and stay tuned to forums and NFSA Facebook page

Better than when siphoning... 30+ I would like to be there the hours it stops springing.
