New cave accident?

I've been told by those that have access to facebook that there was a fatality within the past 24 hours?
I'm not looking for specific details or names or anything like that, just confirmation that there was a recent incident in our local caves?

Nevermind. I was just relayed the information that this was a real incident. Very sad to hear. Mods can pull this down if preferred in order to avoid alot of details. I have no details on the incident, just wanted to get confirmation as if it's passing around fb someone I know that doesn't dive will ask me about it.

That's different than what I've heard. That's why I ask though. Anyone I know that has fb and doesn't dive asks me about every diving accident no matter where or why it happened.

I only asked if an accident actually happened. I dont think sharing facts is wise considering this is the time that lots and lots of untruths come out, and I was hesitant to post the thread and start rambling speculation.
I will say from what I've heard tom is wrong, and I hope thats all the information that gets relayed in this thread. If speculation starts I'll ask a mod to lock this thread as thats the opposite of what I wanted.

It was a medical event several thousand feet in. I was told this by someone who was there and I believe spoke to the buddy.

Maybe some people want to give personal friends a chance (like, 24 hours?) to not have to read about it on the internet. Although that may be a lost cause since it is all over Facebook.

Has the gas analysis came back already? CO? Hydrocarbons?
