    Default Madison Blue Question

Does anyone know anything about the 2 Tubes that are made from MLS canisters? They are downstream in the aquaduct tunnel. What were they used for and by whom????? It was weird to see them, I thought maybe the depth was messin' with me. Thanks,Rob

And while you at it, answer this one for me if you can.
As soon as you enter (large entrance, not the rabbit hole - I think it is called the Horseshoe room) you see some kind of upside down tub thing. What was that for? Anyone?

    That was a deco "habitat".

Sorry, I have no idea what the light canisters are for.

I think it used to be an air bell on the ceiling - kind of like the one at Blue Grotto but without fresh air pumped to it.

The two canisters are from a dye trace done by Karst- they may still have dye in them and I think they have future plans for them.

I thought the deco habitat had been taken out, but it sounds like it's still there - might be nice to re-position it if it still holds air. It gets kind if chilly up there!

While we are on the topic of Madison, when I went a few weeks back (first time) we entered through the large entrance. We come in and see the 'deco habitat' and hang a left. There we found a gold line and tied into it. Started following this line and it took us to the rabbit hole. What is up with that piece of gold line? Seems to go from one entrance to the next.
Anyone know the why's or where's of this?

I've not actually seen it, but I've run into a few people that found the cavern line instead of the mainline. I let a team cookie my reel on sunday since they were back for another try. If you go in the rabbit hole and hug the left side of the cavern until you get to the stop sign, then look down and to your left, you should be able to see the mainline from there.

An "old timer" buddy of mine once told me that there used to be cave training in there a while back and it was used for running line drills, tie offs, etc.

First time I did a dive there I followed it around, too.
