    "George Irvine's Equipment List"

Nice try. No one gives a #### about which company makes your backplate or your flippers.

Still no plans for the WKPP to switch from the existing SCR platform to a CCR. Doesn't really provide much (if any) benefit at this point, but options are always being evaluated.

Answered the question. At one time that was a big deal. Had a friend who was expelled because he got a Dive Rite dry suit on sale he could afford ,and was told it needed to be a DUI-never quite understood that one. I have noticed a shift away from this list which surprised me that it is still archived on the page.

There's more than a few historical things on there written by Trey. Some are applicable, some aren't. Its always best to actually talk to someone and ask questions before making assumptions.

For the gear, its all about function within the team setting. If your Dive Rite suit is dry and your Mares fins move you through the water, rock on. If the harness rubbing on the back zip causes it to fail prematurely and you miss a dive or your mares flippers cause you to be head heavy and unable to dive at the team level, then those pieces of gear won't be well received. There's one team guy who shows up with a backzip Dive Rite suit and its dry and ready to rock so no one says anything or even really notices.

You will see an abundance of DUI suits and Scubapro fins (add in any other stereotypical piece of gear) because that's what many of us have found to work well within this application, but its certainly not 'mandatory'.

Actually it is good to see some of those articles archived. I knew quite a few of those people when they were active, and where the information they provided can be a little aged,it still has some value.

I don't know, Brett Hemphill & crew are doing some remarkable things in conjunction with the WKPP on CCR's

Brett, Andy, Matt et al are remarkable explorers. I have a ton of respect for those guys and work side by side with them at many sites. But as far as the WKPP goes Ccr doesn't provide much benefit.
