That sucks. Never mind I'm in Mexico.

Madison has gone from gauge level of 9ft on 12/21 to 20ft as of today. USGS site shows temperature of 58F and conductivity of 67-nothing but river water.
The NFSA will keep everyone up to date,or visit the NFSA Facebook page because that will be updated first.

Welcome to the CDF Ashley and great meeting you at Peacock a couple of weeks ago. Nice photo by the way. Gene
any other systems in danger of being blown? We are 2 weeks away from heading down there. Also,, staying on topic of Madison...how long does it take for Madison to become divable again? I know, it will depend on if more rain comes through or not.

Keep an eye on this web site. http://www.mysuwanneeriver.org/realt...ver-levels.php
Madison was closed on 26th when the river level hit about 49', that is after an increase of 3' over the previous day.
If I interpret the data properly, the river has more rising to go at Madison blue before it heads back down. Let's say it increases another 8' before it goes back down by 2' a day and no rain occurs...that would mean 9 days of dropping but some clearing out time. Doesn't look good for your trip
Don't see Madison clearing soon. Water level has dropped by gauges still show temperature in the spring at 57F and conductance <100,so still a lot of river water.

What reduces the conductance in river water, is it the tannin/sediment alone? Or is there something in the spring water that increases it?

Hey there Gene, thanks! Although it isn't much after I looked at all of your work! Brendan and I finally made it around to Cave Country Dive Shop and loved it there, we will definitely be stopping in a lot more-great service. <end of post hijack>
