The nuances of Dibs can be very confusing to a fledgling Internet diver. I wonder if we should contact one of the local training agencies and suggest a new course curriculum. DIBS 1 and DIBS 2.

You forgot to start with Fundies dibs

Patpicos is correct. Fundies dibs with the tech pass are required to enter into Dibs 1. You must also develop some experience and call fundy dibs at least 25 times before enrolling in dibs 1.

I absolutely agree, we probably would not be diving together.
As a matter of fact, I lost several dive buddies who drank the kool-aid and will no longer dive with me on anything but fun dives (certainly nothing in an overhead environment).
