Looking for a picture of attaching a bolt snap to the underside of a second stage reg. Saw a picture of this a while back and can't find it.
Note: I'm not looking for attaching a bolt snap to a hose.
Thanks

I'm pretty certain i've not done what you are asking but I figured I would share what I have done to my second stages which seem to work well for me.
First I drilled a small hole into the plastic part of the second stage that is more cosmetic and doesn't go inside of the reg then inserted a O ring into it. Then I attached a bolt snap with a zip tie. The O ring will rip with a lot of force but that was my intention in case for some reason it needed to be done. see what you think. The p clips are the really small ones from DGX.
Yuck, sorry about the dirty regs. They need a little cleaning.![]()

Thanks for the pics. Not exactly what I was looking for but you get an A for effort.

Not a bolt snap, but maybe someone can use this. I attached my backup inflator this way.

Attached to the underside of the exhaust T:
What's the benefit of doing this instead of attaching it to the hose or the metal fittings?
Tony, what are looking for in terms of utility/purpose?
Tony, call me. I am getting a terminal tackle illness. O-rings and zip ties are what is called a Kluge in the military and also should be avoided in civilian life. Cave line and a properly drilled hole in the plastic part of the reg is all there. Mike, the benefit is that the reg is not dangling from the clip after it is clipped off to something. I will post some photos tomorrow.
If you're asking me about attaching to the exhaust T, I admit that I only tried for one day attaching a stage reg to the hose or metal fitting. I found that when the stage reg was stowed on my right shoulder D ring it interfered with my long hose second stage, also clipped to the same D ring. The long hose second stage has its clip attached at the metal fitting. Also, having differing configurations of exhaust T's as I do, the stage seconds tend to sit at least slightly differently when stowed, making them feel less one on top of the other, and making retrieval by feel a little easier. Finally, if the clip or exhaust T became hopelessly entangled and would otherwise need to be cut away, I have removed each of those exhaust T's by hand so many times that I can do it blindfolded, or in a siltout, if necessary.
