    Default Ruth, Charles, Dipolder

Had the opportunity to dive the above over the weekend.

    Ruth:
15 feet of viz. Fair flow, first dive here so no comparison available. Not a bad dive but not my top 10, for sure.

    Charles:
25-30 feet of viz. Lower flow, first dive here, too. I enjoyed this one more. Very silty. Not a recommendation for a newer cave diver...moondust silt could easily turn this thing to zero and quick. Seems not many dive this for that reason.

    Dipolder:
Good conditions. Guess 100 feet of viz. Best Dipolder dive for me to date.

We dove Charles Spring three weeks ago. It's a very interesting cave, but the line in there is a bit of an adventure. Apparently it was replaced recently, but there are still remnants of the old line flying around the cave.

Didnt feel the adventure, but I didnt go far at all--about 40 minute swim. There was definitely some new line in there and bits of gold line left and a few oddities...but arrows tend to clear up the questions I have.

Id go back just cause there were no scooter gouges or hand prints...

But I have video of a perfect hand print in Dipolder at 280ish feet and a long, new scooter gouge past the Hinkle in Ginnie between the 2nd and 3rd Ts.

    People.

And, Ruth struck me as depressingly polluted with tons of green crap all in the run--hopefully they suck all the water out to irrigate before it turns truly shittie.

If you say so, I was busy narrating for the video--and assigning credit to the print; which was immediately preceded by some skid mark of sorts. Not the kind that can be washed, either.

Thanks for the report. Charles is one of my favorites in that area. I haven't been since last year. How was the run? I've seen it bone dry.

The run....not bone dry, for sure.

2-3 feet, if memory serves. The rope swing was serviceable, if that helps?

Gold line was installed in Charles a few months back, then pulled. I got to dive it with the gold line, and before the gold line. The gold line was a serious improvement. Too bad.

There was a survey in process when the knotted line was pulled out.
