Forrest, what are the advantages of a neoprene suit? I've always heard that trilam is better.
Pros
- Warmer
- Easier to swim, not as baggy
Cons
- Dries slower when traveling (therefore heavier)
- Since the warmth comes from neoprene, if the suit floods you typically don't have undergarments heavy enough to keep you warm.

He is mostly right, besides, I was quoting Gamble. The only difference I would put is if you flood a neoprene suit, you are diving a wetsuit. If you flood a drysuit, most likely you will be colder than a wetsuit.

Which one is more comfortable.... Assuming it is not flooded
That is pretty subjective. When I first started wearing drysuits, there was only neoprene, or rubber. When trilam came out, I switched, and never saw a reason to go back.

IMO unless every ounce of weight counts, i can't think of a reason to go TLS over the FLX. even for a suit that lives in a bag only for exploration I decided to go FLX again.

Thanks for the recco!
Land of Enchantment -- not so great for cave diving, but mighty scenic!
