Exclamation Gas Calculations for DPV/Swim Dives With Stages

Rob: I have found that the best way to "Plan" a combo DVP/Swim dive involving stages (i.e. the back side of Ginnies or JB) is to look at what your post dive gas calculations were for similar and/or the same dive(s) completed in the past. Every logged cave dive that I do gets the attached completed with it. An NACD logbook page goes in the blank location on the upper half. Over time, I will have a pretty good idea of what I will need in terms of gas for a particular dive and still be within thirds on exit (assuming no goatropes). This method lets you know where you were gas wise no matter what order you used doubles or stages. Planning stage drops; how much you breathe out of them or your doubles, and all that other BS becomes much easier to figure out, at least for memory challenged me.
