    Default Peacock Springs: GoPro Video

The wife and I did a couple dives at peacock (P1) a couple weeks back and I put together a short video. Nothing special.. just some choice clips edited together with some freebie youtube music. We don't have video lights, just our UWLD LED's... I may try a homemade diffuser for our next dive... enjoy!

conditions were decent... first 1000' up the peanut line were very dusty and had 30' viz... looks like a lot of training had been going on (it was a sunday).. but past that it cleared up nicely to a solid 60-70' viz. Had a great dive up to the restriction and then a second shorter dive up the Pot Hole line. We'll be back on sunday...

    Very nice video!

If you want an idea for lighting- I put a couple LED backup lights on my helmet, each side of the Gopro mount.

With the internal focus lenses removed, the bare emitters put out a 60 degree beam that was relatively flat. Very short range, but great to light up the foreground close to the camera. Gives the cave a better sense of size and scale.

Look forward to seeing more videos from you. These GoPro's are excellent!

Very nice video. So I guess that the camera was mask or helmet mounted?

Camera was mask mounted… I use this set up for Spearfishing videos and find it works pretty well… Unfortunately when shooting images of another diver that is swimming slightly above you you end up with a lot of bubbles in front of the Lens

Nice video, thanks for posting it. I've got to try and get to Peacock one of these days, it's been too long.

Sent from behind a pint of Guinness.
