Thanks Gian, so you need a guide now, or does that only apply for certain zones? I'm not sure about what google translated for me. Could you maybe point whats new? I do know that you have to be full cave now.
    Thanks

Hi Gian, some questions by the way....

Dada la extrema fragilidad de la cavidad y del peligro existente por perdida o desorientación, todas las visitas recreativas irán acompañadas por uno de los guÃ#as autorizados para tal fin.
Good, but how to find a guide for a scheduled date? Is it planned by the FBE or do I have to do it by myself? Is there a list of accredited guides? Is it free (reminder: FBE regulation prohibit to make money with the caves) ? What is the definition of a "visita recreativa", and when diving Sa Gleda will become "technical"?

Does it apply also to the other caves? How to apply for authorisation for theses caves?

    Thanks for your answers.

    Me a guide?

    The blind leading the blind!

Besides the island is small, so the caves are small... who would need a guide .

For any question contact directly the FBE especially before planning any trip because the situation is still work-in-progress and imagine the Spanish trying to organise anything and getting anything done other than "manana."

The diving was good there today (that is all I can report).

For what I understand in the regulation and the answer from Gian: in the regulation it is said that a guide is needed (for everybody) to dive SaGleda; but in practice, no guide list, nor guide accreditation, nor nothing else.
So, if you know someone in Mallorca who know someone at the FBE (or GNM), you will have access. If not...

No, that is not what I was trying to say.

If the rules are implemented as they are written now you will need an FBE approved guide on the same model as Vallgornera cave.

However, there is still discussions and rules may change somewhat and the actual implementation process may take some time and you have to take into account Spain is not Germany and this is all new... so I urge caution and before you travel or make plans talk directly to the FBE.

What will the process be to become an FBE approved guide at Sa Gleda and what is this process at Vallgornera?

No clue. You need to ask the FBE.

Trust me, it is very frustrating, but anything you want to get done in Spain you have to do it living in the "now" and taking it one step at a time and if that does not work have something else to do lined up.
