    Default Hole in the Wall

Dove Hole in the wall twice this week and both times it was great. Both times I went up stream but in that tunnel the visibility was at least 50-60 feet which is enough to see the largest of the rooms from wall to wall and ceiling to floor. It doesn't hurt that I got a great deal for the guys at Cave Adventurers on an Underwater Light Dude 35 Watt light. The light was bright enough to light up the largest of the rooms in Hole in the wall. There was a little bit of flow but both dives we made it past the line to century tunnel and made it about 400-500 more feet in with back gas diving HP100's. At the top of Albert's Room the water got significantly colder but also clearer. All in all great dives.

So that is where the divers where at. I was there Thursday and had Jackson Blue completely by my self except for about 10 swimmers. To me the flow was not as bad as it has been in the past and the visibility was great.

Thank you for the report. This is my favorite cave at the Millpond and conditions must be amazing now. I have to talk to the Light Dude to take us and our lights on a little trip there. He works too hard and doesn't go diving much lately.

    hn1,
Congrats on the new light and you are making me jealous. It has been a long time since we have had good viz in Hole. The house we purchased has had us working like dogs. We have to be out of the house we are in by the end of August so it will be a while before we get a break and go diving. Hopefully the viz will hold up.

BTW your light puts out 3500 Lumens the wattage though is only 30W. More light with less power draw.
