Troy or Royal for new OW diver???

FWIW, Royal has the second highest fatality rate of OW deaths in a cave. Actually, since the grate was put in at Ginnie, Royal is currently the #1 most dangerous cave that is still open.

Good to know. She is OW and wants nothing to do with "caves". Maybe one day but not today.

I never really heard of royal. Hell there is 1000s of feet of passage in the common caves (Peacock,LR,Ginnie) I have yet to see.

You could not pay me to go in there. I think the ride out could pose deadly

Been in there once. Got back 80 feet or so where it pinched off. Buddy ahead of me was kicking up rocks the size of baseballs. Ouch! Had to back out of there too. Not a fun dive.

Yes it is but its pretty green and dark In the bottom. With out lights it would really suck. The run is ok.

I went by Royal Friday. Looked clear to me. I didn't get in the water. Made me sick seeing all the trash and cigarette butts.
