    Default WTB: Shearwater Petrel

I'm curious to see if anybody is looking to sell a shearwater petrel that is in good condition? I figured I ask here before blowing my next check on a new one.

Why would you post a link to retail pricing? HIGHER than retail, even?

I'm assuming he can use Google! I think he was looking for used, and cheaper than retail.

Sorry Victor for some reason I thought the retail was more like $950, so I thought it was a deal. Also I have been told that they hold their value well so they would not be much cheaper used. What do they go for used?

Actually the suggested retail price was more like $950 until February, it seems due to a change in currency rates it has been adjusted to $850.
There were some used one's in great condition offered here for $750-$800 before the price drop.

ams, rereading it now I realize it came off grumpier than I meant it. But yeah, it's not a deal anymore. The Canadian Dollar taking a hit seems to be what makes it so fortuitous for divers outside of Canada buying Petrels. As for holding their value, it's exactly what Oliver said.....$750-$800 before the price drop for a good condition Petrel. Now that they're $850 NIB, nobody is selling them used. I wouldn't...it's worth more to me than the $650 you'd need to be selling them at.
