Can anyone provide P III , or Little River conditions ? Thanks, D.H.
I dove Peacock last Wednesday and it was clear and viz was around 60ft. I dove Little River also last Tuesday and the tanic water was in the top of the cavern. High water and little flow. Viz was great but the water was high. Both are perfect conditions for cave diving, in my opinion.
Dove Little River last weekend. Water level is about a foot over the first landing coming up the steps. Visibility is zero in the basin, but clears up once you hit the cave entrance. Visibility inside the cave was about 40' with little flow. There were no lines outside the cave, so I ran a primary from the steps, but pulled it upon exiting. I haven't been to Peacock in months so I have no idea about current conditions there. I'm going back up on the 28th, hopefully LR is still diveable.
I thought LR was closed late last week.
Nothin wrong with no viz for a bit
Looking to dive LR tomorrow. Any word if it is divable?
According to CCDs on Friday
Hoska, let me know how you make out. Thanks, D. H.
Thanks all! Guess we will brave the road to peacock![]()
Can anyone tell me whether that happens like every year or so and how long the water usually stays at that level? I am planning to do my first Florida cave trip in late march and I was really looking forward to dive Little River. Well, I guess it is hard to plan anything that has to do with the weather.
And one more (stupid) question: Why can't you dive while the water level of the river is higher? Does that mess up the cave somehow?
Thanks
