Default FWC meeting in Brooksville regarding Eagles Nest.

Representatives from the NACD, NSS-CDS, ICURR, and The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission(FWC) met in Brooksville today regarding Eagles Nest. The FWC appears committed to keeping it open without gates or special permitting. There was a lot of good discussion on the management plan with the common goal of keeping it accessible to cave divers. One thing that came out of the meeting is that everyone agrees that the ballroom is a cave dive and not a cavern or open water dive. Big thanks to Michael Barnette, Mike Poucher, Matt Vinzant, Ken Hill, and Rick Murcar.

    Regards
    Sylvester J Muller "TJ"

I can't thank them enough for all they've done for us cave divers. Most of the people that benefit from their actions have never met them. I bought some gear from Mike Poucher years ago and made a point to thank him for all his efforts for cave exploration and getting access to caves. We owe them a lot, as well as many others.

If cave diving were Star Wars, who would be Yoda?
