Speaking of radar detectors/jammers to help prevent tickets....what do you guys recommend? I'm still using my 5-6 year old radar/laser detector....and it's saved my bacon many times...but it must be retired now, because it only works when it wants...and that's not often..

With all the nice toys he already has, why not spring for a radar detector/jammer? Mine's saved my bacon quite a few times....and yes, the ambulance does 90, although having a blowout at 70 one day made me reconsider the whole speed thing....

Worst thing about it...He has a radar detector. He got zapped with Laser. Firday night he was trying to talk to one of the Staties at Ginnie about it...

    See above.

Note that radar jammers are bigtime illegal - don't get caught with one.

LASER jammers, however, are NOT illegal...

First step to redemption, let me know where the sacrifice will be held so I can come get you if you collapse in misery and self-loathing. Yeah, that's it.

If you put out a strong enough EM it won't matter what they use. Or you could of course just slow down. Or fake a seizure like Donny Baker.

Oh my god DeWayne - your little line arrow on your sig turns into a handicapped parking sign! Too funny!

I wouldn't have hijacked the thread but it does kind of fit in. Good thing the guy was only speeding, and not parking in any handicapped spot or else they would have to EAT DeWayne's HICKORY!

Is it clear? No? Well....let's go anyways.

Speaking of radar jammers - Motorcycle Consumer News once did a study to see if they worked. They ended up making several hundred passes, with every model of jammer available, in every conceivable mounting position, at every conceivable speed, with every conceivable vehicle, and they ended up with ZERO instances of any jammer making any difference whatsoever to a radar's reading. Of course, I'm not saying they don't actually work ...

That's right Dave - If anyone would like to know how to keep them from smacking your dive buddy in the forehead first, pm me and I will let you know.
