Default Madison Blue is Closed as of Feb 22, 2014

The word from the park management is that Madison Blue is now closed to diving.

Looks like the river flood just crested. Hopefully there will be no rain in GA. The water may drop in a couple weeks then so perhaps M1 opens in a week and a half. Any other bids?

Depends if we had a reversal or intrusion. At this point it may be just intrusion, and your estimate may be close.

Looks like the river started to rise again not reaching the slackline, damn... Wonder what would be diveable other than Ginnie, LR and Manatee on coming weekend? Is Peacock pond still clear?

Peacock will typically stay diveable well after Little River. You should be able to count on it (Peacock) this weekend. Little River was diveable for some this past week, but getting close. Manatee looked great, and no duckweed.

I was at Madison Blue on Saturday. My buddy and I were the last divers out of the water before it closed. In fact, while we were putting out gear on the truck, a park management employee came over to tell us that we shouldn't dive again.

We'd gone in through Martz sink and then gone towards the main entrance. It was 20' viz or so at best, 5' or so at worst.
