Job well done! It's good to hear they pulled the bodies. It was a dangerous dive under normal conditions and much more so, as a recovery dive.

A lot happened in between post #29 and post #30. Here is a quick summary according to my present understanding. I am glad to be corrected if any of this is incorrect.

The original team arrived and was not successful. The Norwegian police determined that the recovery was too dangerous and forbid any further effort. The recovery team went home. There was then talk about what to do with the fact that two unrecovered bodies were a problem in the cave, and some were suggesting closing the cave permanently, making it in essence a grave site.

The successful recovery described in post #30 was done by an entirely different team without the knowledge of the officials because such a recovery attempt had been forbidden. The team included people from the original dive. Because the site is remote, they were able to work without being noticed, and they notified the police after they had completed the recovery. As I understand it, the police have decided that prosecution is not a high priority.

That was an incredible recovery and team work. I have great respect and kudo's for all those involved. The closure for the victim's family's must be tremendous also.
