Current Roubidoux conditions are low flow and also low vis, 8-10 ft. This can change drastically by the time of the event, for better or worse. Latest Cannonball report was steady flow and decent viz, 15-20 ft. This can also change.

Distance from the boat ramp to the cave mouth at Cannonball is a several minute scooter ride, or a 10 minute surface swim. Many of us find climbing the hill to be simpler and only marginally more effort.

Hope all who come get to dive, and that conditions are at least representative of what we get to enjoy most of the time!

Pretty much what I was going to say, but if your scooter needs a workout...

Mark, if you need to exeresize your batteries, then the scooter from the boat ramp is a good idea. then if they die on you on the way there or back, it is better then in the cave. If I dont have my new batteries bye then, that is whatI plan to do if things work out. Easyer to swim a scooter on the top then out of the cave. Rather do that then walk the HILL after a long dive.

If that is the one I am thinking of, well maybe it might better not to share

The marina used to rent pontoon boats and if three or four divers got together....

I thought that was a photo of Forrest, using alternative means. Let me see.... trust the alternative, or a new LIPO. Get a horse! I'd park the scooter and swim the cave, as it's too nice to rush the dive. 20 amp LIPO batteries have an easy 2.5 hours in them with the Viper on 2; Forrest?

    From the Submerge website:

    Runtime/Duration:
The Viper LiFe with 512 Watt/hours provides 1 to 3 hours of diving. Plenty of runtime for most cave diving.

    Big rains yesterday locally.

ROUBIDOUX REPORT: Sorry,. Cave/Cavern Divers, but the recent rains (and it appears more on the way) have turned the viz to nearly zero! Standing on the road above the spring you are unable to even see the bottom rocks. Also, the flow is beginning to rise....

Have yet to hear how Cannonball is being affected.

Do keep us posted, as less is more when traveling. Either way, I'm coming.
