10ppm is industry standard for grade E air. 3ppm is industry standard for OCA. At home my personal limit is 0. I test all my tanks and I spot test my analyzer by blowing into it. This usually gets me a reading of 1-2ppm. Away from home I will allow up to 10ppm, depth dependent. I had a reading of 8ppm on a couple of shallow dives (no more than 60') and spoke with the captain who in turn spoke to his fill station and the next day the readings were 3ppm so they did something to clean up the air. Last trip we had readings of 1-2ppm on the last day of the trip. I was surprised by this as we'd been getting 0 readings all week long.

LOL, Mike! I DO have bacon duct tape, but it doesn't work out for writing on as well.

Thats a Storm iM2700 Case, I could have probably went slightly smaller, but I already had this one laying around, so I just ordered new foam and laid it out. And yes that is pink duct tape !!! Shirley made me put that in there !!!!!

I now have a Storm case with an Oxycheq O2 analyzer, Analox Helium and O2 analyzer, and a Analox CO analyzer, dive computers, tape, sharpies and all the goodies I need for analyzing and marking all tanks with content, date, and time. Having everything in one spot for analyzing, marking tanks and adjusting computers for the mix on hand makes it convenient and leaves me no excuse for not checking and verifying the contents of all tanks prior to diving.

    Thanks Shirley!!!!!
TJ, you make a girl proud I'm glad you learned the importance of pink duct tape! My job here is done! (and now I'm drooling over your Storm Case....heading off to spend some money, me thinks!)

At our home fill station, sampling is done on an irregular basis for CO contamination

I use an Oxycheq. Not sure of the cost as I won it at an NACD seminar several years ago (compliments of CCDS.)

So what is everyone's personal limit? For shallow diving in okay with like 5ppm. Anything over 1 is going to get reported. Anything to triple digit depths, and I'm looking for sub 3ppm
