I'm curious as to what you meant by this. Did you have a shallower or shorter run time? did you get a chance to meet up with the rebreather team later?

Also if you were to dive the nest again today would you increase the helium content or keep it the same? Sounds like a massive dive no matter where you go in that cave!

Thanks for the writeup. I find I get a lot from reading what other divers write about their dives. I enjoyed reading your thoughts and found myself there for a moment which was great. Keep bringing the write ups please.

    Garth,

The other team at Eagle's Nest was diving to depths around 300' (where our max depth was 200'). The other team's depth gave them a substantially longer deco. obligation than we had--to the point where their decompression stops lasted longer than our dive and our decompression stops combined.... The other team exited the water as we were starting to break down gear.

For another dive at the Nest, I'd probably keep the helium content the same. Narcosis, in my experience, can vary from dive to dive--and the END for our dive(s) was around 130' (combined Oxygen and Nitrogen narcosis depth).

Glad you enjoyed the report, thanks for allowing me to share.

Thanks for taking the time to write that. Very enjoyable to read.

I'm planning to do the same training with Johnny soon. I've really enjoyed the training I have done with him so far.

Great write up macleod. I did those same dives in october with my trimix training and reading your report allowed me to re-live to beauty of those dives. Eagles nest nest was an amazing dive decending from the the ballroom and I cant wait to get back to florida to see more.
    Thanks for the post

It a pretty good chance that we were one of the groups (going to Olsen) in the traffic jam. It was a really good good day, the first post cert dives for one of our group. Thanks for the write up, and reminding me of the dive.
