New Year's 2013/2014 Social feedback

Some feedback about the New Year's Social would be helpful for planning the next Galaxy Dive/Social. I think the Galaxy Dive worked better last year in Ginnie than in JB this year. The magnus worked pretty well for creating our own artifical Ginnie but it didn't look as good as it did last year. The suringe idea worked very well and it might be a good idea to do again next year. From what I can tell everyone had a good time the night of the Galaxy Dive only four people did the dive, Russel with the glow juice, me with the magnus, my dad hovering above us about to take the magnus and go do a dive, and a person whose name escapes me as the only spectator. The day of the Social only a hand full of people showed up and Russel was trying to figure out if it would be a good idea to fire up the grill. After that I don't know what happened cause I had to go. All in all a good time, even if it was cold.

It was a very nice social and thank you especially to Russel for organizing it, he did a great job!

Considering the cold weather, it was surprising how many people showed up. Close to midnight we were easily more than thirty.
Thanks also to Edd and John for the awesome fireworks and to Stacy for her special jello shots
Finally thanks and again a happy new year to everyone who attended, I truly enjoyed it all very much!

I want to personally thank each person who participated, especially those who brought more than their share of picnic items, and of course, Edd and Stacy. As William noted, when Lynn and I arrived Wednesday morning the park was almost deserted. But we fired up the grill again and folks began showing up. We only had about half as many for Wednesday lunch as we had for the NYE cookout, but we had plenty of food and NOBODY went away hungry!

I look forward to NEXT YEAR'S event - it'll be sixteen years in a row for me!

Sludge, sorry I missed the dive this year. Trimix class, and my first dive at Eagle's Nest took priority....

I think the cold scared off the diving! It did for me at least. It was great meeting everybody - had a good time!
