I'd like to send a kudos to Niko Kavallar (nkavallar here on CDF) for a couple of things. First, he's a really terrific dive buddy. Niko is even newer than I to the cave diving game but has awesome enthusiasm and respect for the caves. He's helpful, interested, and just fun to hang out with (especially if you confirm to his fiance that he is not looking at any other girl.)

Niko is also generous and considerate. He is donating his time to the CDS and the benefit is two-fold: 1) he is directly helping the CDS out and 2) he works for a company that donates money to the CDS after a certain amount of volunteer time. Niko has accomplished the first stage earning the CDS a $1,000 donation from his company!

I post this not only to congratulate and thank Niko but also so that many of us who work for companies can look to see if our own have such a creative gift-matching program or some similar program.

Woooo to Niko!!!!!! Big hugs (but only platonic ones, I don't want the GF after me!!) Can you name the company? I certainly like to support companies like that whenever possible!

My pleasure guys, thanks Steve for you kind words. I work for Advent Software / Black Diamond Performance Reporting, these guys are very involved with volunteering. I gladly give my time to the CDS as I believe in the cause of the organisation. I'm glad that my employer will give grants & match donations for the 503 (c) of our choice. Thank you again Steve and Forrest for putting up with my diving, and Forrest; my sidemount trim is not as awful as it was Thursday anymore haha
