    DeepSea:

How are you accessing Little Salt Spring? I used to access it from the property of the first house on the left after turning off S.R. 50. In fact, it was the elderly gentleman who used to live there who showed me the way back there. I understand that most people who currently dive it are parking alongside S.R. 50 and walking in.

The ski rope sounds like a GREAT idea.

That house is now owned by Mike Ward (of Ward's Sink). We usually load our gear from 50 then drive the truck(s) over to Mike's place. You could still walk it from Mike's if you really wanted to though.

Someone mentioned recently on this forum that Mike Ward now lived there. I wonder if he's allowing anyone to dive Ward Sink or if it's still closed off to diving like it's been for the last several years.

His sister still does not allow diving there.

If you know Mike he can get you in there with him. Other than that Tegg is right, his sister doesn't want it.

The viz in there right now is top to bottom though. It really is a nice hole.

I started diving Ward Sink in 1988 and eventually did a survey and map of it. Myself and a lot of other technical divers were very disappointed when it closed down.
