    Default Little River

I am finically getting to go cave diving Sunday after T-giving looking for updated info on Little River. Where is the water level, current max depth back to about the Florida room?

Dove LR this afternoon (Sun 11/24). We were the only team there. Water is way down, just below the little cement walkway that goes out towards the cave from the walkway at the perimeter; there's probably 3' of mud/rock from the cement perimeter walk to the water. Very prominent boil. I would say the flow is down marginally from when I dove it last 7 - 8 weeks ago when the water was up to the 3rd or 4th wood step, but it's still a good workout on the way in and like a pinball on the way out; no pull-and-glide, just pull and pull then pull some more. I hit 1/3rds about 100' into the Florida room on SM 85's, but I tend to suck air a bit. Was diving with TracyN; don't now how she did but she usually ends up with more air than she started with...

    Max depth 98'.

How's the vis? The water in the basin looks less green than a month ago.

Nice blue-green at the boil; clear on the way in; clouded up some in the Florida room.

LoL! If it makes you feel any better I hit my thirds on the surface. The visibility was the nicest I've seen in there in a long time. I didn't think I was going to get in the cave though after tying into the gold line, lol! The flow in the beginning is merciless.

The trick is to stay above the ledge on the left as long as possible, then drop down and right when you run out of space. It's not hard if you do it right.
