"Not all change is improvement...but all improvement is change" Donald Berwick
Facebook is so easy & fast to post images and words to...thats why it is all there already. I cannot update the NFSA webpage with my iPad and have to use my PeeCee...it has not been turned on since Monday. The website is kind of klunky & time consuming to use. I will put some of the images on the website today, tonight or tomorrow.
Getting a Facebook page is easy & fast. I am curious why Forrest and Shocky are so resistant to having a Facebook page? Forrest, you have spent more time complaining about not seeing the images than the time it would have taken to sign up for a Facebook page and see all the images.![]()
cause then you get 5000 requests for friends and farmtown and whatever.;
"Is this thing on?"
That, and FB (and G+) tends to have a more "cavalier" attitude about your data privacy than some of the other social media sites. They'll sell/share it with anyone.
I do have a FB account, but I do absolutely nothing with it. It's locked down at the most secure levels. No posts, pics, tags, friends, and only I can see/access things, except for what is minimally accessible to everyone. Zero activity!
I created it so that no one *else* could create one in my name, claim it's me, and then claim that I'm doing all sorts of "nefarious" things...
Point being, not everyone does FB. It should never be used "exclusively."
And BTW, congrats on clearing the boulder!

Thanks to all the crew for moving the boulder!
I look forward to seeing the account in the NFSA newletter.

I'd be happy to help out with keeping the NFSA website updated. I'm on my PC often enough as it is, what's a little more? I'm on Facebook, but I understand the resistance to its use. It is definitely the DEBBIL!!!
NFSA Powers-That-Be, shout if you want to put me to work
Great job on the rockand the harder job of working with all the necessary officials to get this done!

My name is Shirley Kasser Creech and I approve this message. Well, at least one of me does, anyway. Maybe. Fire. Sharp things. Squirrel!
Shirley you're not serious? No, I'm not, but do stop calling me Shirley.

One word Jim: Malware ! I am also siding with Forrest & Shocky...I am highly suspect of the hackers & pirates on Facebook & do not trust it ! Twitter on the other hand is a social media i would try without worry as it seems to have more control over the content being transmitted via it's links.
So that's my take on Facebook.
I would love to see a writeup on the CDS forum about how the boulder was removed. Sounds intriguing.
