Good afternoon
A reminder to come help Current Problems clean up a portion of Roseewood
Creek. Rosewood Creek needs some help between SE 7th Ave and the Springhill
Pond Park. Meet us at 9:00 am on Nov 2 at the Springhill Pond Park. There
is usually plenty to do on Rosewood, but Public Works recently let us know
there is a particularly bad spot along here, so we know we need your help.
If you can let me know you'll be coming that would be helpful, but feel free
to show up at the last minute, too. Be sure to wear clothes and shoes that
can get both wet and dirty. Work gloves are a good idea, too.
This creek leads to Sweetwater Branch, which in turn goes to Paynes Prairie
and drains into the aquifer at Alachua Sink. This is one reason why it is
important to keep this creek clean. Wildlife will be better off, too.
