Cave Summit Silent Auction Oct 12th 2013

Anyone else on the CDF bid and win any of the gear items from the Cave Summit two weeks ago?

Cave Summit received my money two weeks ago (Oct 15th) by PayPal and still has not sent me the Dive Rite XT side mount regulators that they told me I was the highest bidder on.

Last week Cave Summit did not return my email or phone call asking for shipping info for the regs (initially I was told the regs would ship directly from DR, a couple days later I was told Cave Summit had the regs). Today I emailed them again asking about the status/location of my regs, he replied "do you want a full refund", I replied "No, I want my regs" a few minutes later I get an email from Paypal then an email from Curt saying a refund has been issued.

I just called his cell and it went straight to voicemail, I left a message again saying that I did not want a refund that I want the regs.

Now I have all this refund money in PayPal that I hardly ever use.

I get the feeling he wants the regs for himself at the price I won them for.

Please PM if you were the highest bidder on any of the online auction items.

fyi, it doesn't have to stay in PayPal. You can transfer it to your own account, just in case you weren't aware. I realize that you want the regs, not the money, but just in case....and there is no limit, it doesn't expire.

Once I returned to the USA "TODAY" I received your email about the regs.

I stated in my return response that I just returned from a trip to a remote location in the Bahamas. Than due to your email shortness, I asked if you wanted a full refund.

Now for those of you who know me, know that this would not turn out well. Thus I responded.

I did (read your email) and I decided not to send you $1200 in 2 regs this week after I just walked in the door from doing a free cavern course, a special film shoot for the not for profit reefball foundation and helping to collect specimens for a marine research center for the last 2 weeks was more important than being told what I have to do in the next 4 days

You will receive a full refund by oct 31 by paypal, take it and go buy two new diverite sidemount regs.

Don't you think someone has the right to get a little nervous about dishing out hundreds of dollars and the person on the other end does not respond to emails or phone calls and does not ship an item out for over 2weeks?

No place did it say the items were to be shipped overnight DID IT? Most of the items were to be shipped by the manufacturers to the winners, Dive Rite just so happened to drop it off at the summit.
It doesn't matter how many days I was away now does it. What matters was I was busy working and away from my office for two weeks.

Now all that matters is SOMEONE ELSE is getting these regs...

Curt everyone has busy schedules! I'm out of the country most of the month..
All you had to do is reply to one of my emails and say sorry it's going to be a week or two longer before I can ship the regs... I'm away from home etc.
