Flow - Slight Flow at entrance and throughout cave

280' restriction - flow moderately strong

The rope this side of the 280' restriction has frayed and broken and been connected with regular line. I'll try and get back the last week of October and repair it with 1/4 rope. It takes a beating as the flow comes out of the restriction and may need something stronger. All the weights holding the line through the restriction seem to have come loose. One blue weight packet was still in sight. The two solid weights that were attached are either buried under rock or been carried off by the cave critters.

I put a new tube among the older ones holding up the deco rope about 4 years ago and aired up the remaining ones. You used to be able to tell when they needed airing up when the deco cylinders hanging on the deco rope caused it to move. Unless someone has topped off the tubes, they probably need a little air.

Thanks for this report. We are planning to dive C-ball later this week and Cal may try to go through the deep restriction if the flow will let him. If Doug has repaired that line break( we knew that it was broken again, but hadn't patched it yet), then he might have a good chance.
