What bottles do you use for Deco Gas?

I find the extra weight at the shallow stops to be nice, especially with a few empty stage/deco bottles clipped off. You're simply less negative with trimix in your backgas. The real benefit is the extra gas though. A delay at depth can really drive up your deco times quickly, and that extra o2 can solve a lot of problems.

I like having extra oxygen. I had an issue once with my oxygen tank where I lost most of deco gas. I thought,since I have lots of extra 50/50 I will just drop down to 70ft and hang there on 50/50. Didn't work as planned and thankfully my buddy left me their O2 tank to finish the rest of my deco.

For O2 steel lp 50 and either aluminum 72 or 80 for everything else

AL40's for normoxic, AL80's for hypoxic, plus extra 02 topside...

depends on the dive....AL80's and AL40 with 100% if the planned deco is short, AL80 and steel 72 with 100% if it looks like a long deco...the 72 holds ample gas and it's nice and heavy....

PS All are bailout bottles, I dive a CCR but just in case.....you can never have too much gas unless you're on fire...

I am not doing deep dives so I Deco on an Alum. 40. If I were doing deep dives I would have a larger bottle. 02 on Alum 40.

Only ali 80's. Because sometimes I use them with ean32, sometimes with trimix and sometimes with oxygen.
