    Default NSS/CDS Webinar

The NSS/CDS will be presenting a Webinar in October for anyone and everyone who logs in. No requirement to be a member (if I understand correctly). I also believe this will be a regular series, but those in the know may chime in and give us the details.

What I do know is that I was asked to present and agreed. I don't have the log in details, but will post them as soon as I know, or maybe someone who knows more about this than me will do so.

Life in Submerged Caves: Aquatic Cave Biology, Skip Kendrick presenter.

    Thursday, October 17, 2013 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM CDT

Mark your calendars and stay tuned for access info. Also check the NSS/CDS website. I've been told that it will be posted there and that all members will be emailed the info.

I may be jumping the gun a bit, so if I'm stepping on toes, or let the cat out of a bag, sorry.

I hope whatever happens that we record this for our friends and members in other parts of the world who don't have the luxury of being on EDT or CDT (such as it being 2am in Germany.)
If you are willing to share your materials with the CDS, I'd love to put them in the library we will build for educational purposes and/or re-use.
Really looking forward to your presentation!
    Steve

I would think that the webinar would be recorded and archived and accessible from the NSS/CDS website after the live presentation. The live presentation will include audience questions via typing them into a message box. the moderator collects them, then breaks into the talk every so often to read the questions so we can all hear them, and my answers.

If it turns out they are not archiving, I will add narration to the power point and provide a copy for the NSS/CDS library/website.

Im super excited that you agreed to do the webinar. As far as I know they will be archived after their initial broadcast.

    Thank you again.

What Web Client are you going to use?

    AT&T connect?
    Go To meeting?
It would be nice to know far enough in advance to allow people to install the client that most need. I know that AT&T has a record feature, we use it at work all time.

I really enjoy the NSS webinar series. There have been some outstanding presentations given and they can be seen anytime here: http://www.caves.org/webinars/index.shtml

I'm glad to see there will be one featuring life in underwater caves!

Thanks to all who are involved in making this happen.

Sandy, there was a proposal and resolution to move October this year to be *after* September so you're good this year.
Kidding aside, Thursday, October 17, 2013 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM CDT is your date for the webinar.
