Diving camera options?

I haven't settled on a video light yet. I've gone through many different cheap chinese lights looking for something that is easily modified in to a great video light. I've found a few, but each has it's own issues. I'm looking for bright (in terms of lumens/dollar), easily activated, a driver that keeps the output high throughout the vast majority of the burn, removable reflector, and well built. I've got several lights that cover 4 of the 5 items. Haven't found one that covers all 5. I'm working with lights in the 10-40 lumens/dollar range... so MUCH cheaper.

That's not a good comparison. First of all, it's against the Hero 2... not the best GoPro out. The SONY has had a major firmware update that has added an underwater mode for color correction. It's also almost entirely using ambient light, which isn't very cave'ish.

Note: I don't use any underwater color correction when shooting cave videos. Some cavern shots are OK with the color correction, but it depends on the quantity of natural light vs artificial light.

Anyone check out the new Go Pro Cam. the go pro black "+" edition?? wondering if this is better under low light conditions? Also the new sony is smaller than the previous model. Just curious if anyone had any comments on either the new go pro Black + edition or the new sony HDR/30 Model, (has the GPS/WIFI) and also 25% smaller.

The GoPro 3+ does have wifi. You can use the cell phone app to control it. Be aware that the new case is only 130' depth rather than the 200' of the prior model. Accessories from the 3 can be used on the 3+ but the new case will present problems in attaching the backs from those accessories. Until the supply channel catches up with 3+ specific accessories anyway. From reviews I have read, the 3+ does have better low light performance.

Given the aftermarket accessories available for the GoPro it is tough to recommend any other options.

I am considering the 3+ as well. I would love to see some sample video in a cave if anyone has one.
