Default Attentions cave divers who utilize state parks with a pass

One thing we want to do is have your visit count. The more visitors at the park help in determining funding, and economic impact to the area. Most people who visit state parks have annual passes, and will pass by the iron ranger. Unfortunately, your visit to the park isn't counted. Next time, please grab one of the blue envelopes out of the iron ranger, write your park pass number on there, and deposit it in the iron ranger. This will assure your visit will count, plus law enforcement will see the blue insert hanging from your rear view mirror, and will not stop to investigate whether you have paid. Your help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Kelly, do you think it would be possible to have a sign (even a temporary-ish one) to this effect placed at the entrance? As you indicate, the number of visits is very important for each park to be able to demonstrate.

That may not be a bad idea for parks that don't have a ranger station, but depend on an iron ranger

Thanks Kelly as well the rangers at Jug explained this to us last season.
It really doesn't take anymore time and is safer as your pass is not it direct view thus a target for thieves.
Yes that was what we were told but it makes perfect sense to me to stop and get the envelope so we are counted.
I am very thankful for the rangers time and efforts to assist us.

Later I spoke with the ranger at Peacock and he said the same thing.
Great service and thanks to all who are working for our parks and springs.
Thanks again for all your hard work Kelly.
