If you guys are coming, I'll be there. I'm about to pitch my tent at Convict for the week. Let me know in the next couple days so I can change my booking without getting charged.

I spent 20 yrs, 6 months and 5 days in the Army, been deployed lots. Yes I can and have done without electricity, showers, washed my own clothes in a water proof bag and didn't see anything made from porcelain for months at a time but see no need to now, plus I'd rather not use the inverter in the truck to charge stuff if I don't have to.
Besides it a good excuse to play with a toy. That generator hasn't been used since 1996, needs to be run for a while. Ever seen a German Army tactical generator? You start it like a Model T Ford, Fueled from a real Jerry can.

In last year's posts, I read that it was arranged to allow evening diving at Peacock 1 on the Saturday of REACT, as long as divers were in the water by 7 p.m. and that the park closed at 9 p.m. Will this be allowed again this year?

I don't think they're doing that this year. They've basically been closed for the past 6 months , so they've cut a few things that cost them extra to put on the weekend. With the way this year has been, maybe we should be throwing them an appreciation party!

Nobody expressed an interest in having the park open for a night dive,so I never completed the paperwork,so it is usual park hours.
