Looking for a small plastic spool likely dropped somewhere before the lips.
Had a symbol branded into it that looks like a @ except with a b instead of an a.

On second thought if you find the spool, just keep it.
I don't want to have to explain:
If I called the dive when I noticed it was gone.
If I was using an approved agency method of attaching it to my person.
What agency I was trained through.
Who my instructors were.
Whether or not I was carrying another spool in case of a lost line.
How many dives I have.
What I was doing diving on a Saturday instead of mowing the lawn.
Why my buddy didn't notice the spool fall and immediately offer assistance.
What agency approved the direction I had the double ender facing on the reel.
What gas I was breathing.
What I ate for breakfast that morning.
Whether or not my team had a lost spool plan in place prior to the dive.
Whether I am a local diver or a traveler.
Ad nauseam...
It's just not worth it.
Keep it.

I almost posted about the spool I lost that day as well. So if anyone finds a pink school with white line on it somewhere around the bypass tunnels the mud puddles for the wormhole it's mine. Or is it?

Both. LOL. This stupid talk to text changed spool to school and Mud Tunnels to mud puddles.
