It's a nice dive but I was amazed at how many hand prints and drag marks there are. I'll take the Well over it any day.

It's easy enough to hit both in the same dive. Do Waterhole, recalculate thirds in the P1 cavern, then hit the well. You'll incur some deco on 32%. Don't bother on air.

Thats interesting to note since most marks from other divers should have been erased/covered by silt... huh?

How tight and silty is that passage exactly?
Also is there a way to tell where the jump is located on the waterhole line or would it be too difficult to find, say if one would like to do the jump on the way back?

Its backmountable yet fairly tight and fairly silty. If you don't have you act together you will cause damage.

I think nakatomi is talking about the alternate jump to Waterhole.

A lot were but not all, at least where I went. Was still pretty cool to see most of it "repaired"

Oh yes, you're right about that. The waterhole passage is certainly backmounteable but low in some places and silty, it requires good technique. I dove it several times, first in backmount and now more recently in sidemount.
I was indeed wondering about the alternate shortcut to the waterhole line that is supposedly a sidemount passage.
