    Default Water Hole

We don't have Peacock all to ourselves today but it is far from a capacity crowd. Come on down folks, the pool is open!

We headed up the Peanut Tunnel this morning and went over to Water Hole. The Peanut Line has quite a bit more particulate in the water column than Main Line did yesterday. The flow is also quite a bit stronger.

We took the last jump to Water Hole, just shy of the 1000' mark. The whole passage was extremely silty with quite a bit of percolation the whole way. It was a fun ride in and out though. Total run time was about 90 minutes with an average depth of about 47'.

Happy to have it open this weekend. Two great dives so far. Still planning the next one. Tony, are you on the road yet? We can't wait all day man!

There is only one jump to Water Hole. Also I told you that you would like it considering that it is your first time there. LOL Glad you guys had a good time and checked out the brick.

I think what we're getting at here is that there are two lines off Peanut Line to the Waterhole Line...one is a double arrow marked jump and the other is an unmarked jump to a side-mount line.

ID:	9309It was a great dive Tony. Thanks for recommending it.

I know it's tough to keep up with the layout of all these passages from there in NC but we took the marked jump just prior to 1000' in. The unmarked jump is just over 600' in.

Oh I see...we took the marked jump. I guess that the unmarked jump requires two jumps. I you took the unmarked jump you might have missed a lot of the cave but all of it is great.

Waterhole is a beautiful dive. One of my favorites.

I've been told the unmarked jump is tight and very silty. Like "not a dive to do with a buddy" tight and silty. Anyone with personal experience have an opinion?
