The new gate is up and sadly some a-hole dumped a load of crap on site before it was installed. There is truth to the fact you can't fix stupid!
This was a tremendous effort to clean this Church Sink site up. I for one appreciate the hard work & sweat to make it a sweet spot again. How many times we've all seen similar sordid conditions at numerous dive sites around the state. I mentioned Apopka Blue, that was one & Mill creek was another. There was one just south of High Springs on Hwy 27 which was turned into a dump site by locals for several years. Devils Den was another. Thankfully some of the more pristene sites are as of yet still hidden & un-discovered by beer busts or wild parties. I won't divulge those sites....they remain hidden. The property owner putting up -no trespassing- signs is hopefully limiting any further trashing of his land. I only hope he will allow those who helped to clean it up to enjoy it for diving or private picnics & such.
Folks willing to illegally dump would likely be willing to steal the camera.

That's really sad people do that.
You would think if they are illegally dumping stuff.. why not go find an empty office/building and illegally dump it in their dumpster? Seems like a much better solution if I were in that situation.
sad sad sad
Nice work on the cleanup!
