    Default Madison open but...

Margaret at Madison reported that she was surprised the spring is still clear. Indicated that the with lacooche may be flowing the other way because th suwannee is so high.

More likely it is because the aquifer is still full.

Hard to say with the river still rising, but if it hasn't reversed, it should be nice viz, and low flow.

If you look at the USGS gauge the river at Highway 6 (Madison) has gone up 3ft since 6/29,but if you look at Valdosta to the north, the river has gone up 10ft. This may be a great time to catch Madison, because somewhere along the way there will be a period of no flow, which means there can be some great viz past Martz. BUT,be warned, reversal is not far away.

I would go in at Martz, so if it reversed, it will take longer to get to the jump. I did that in February, and made my best penetration into the Courtyard.
