Wonder if it will hold up though tomorrow (Saturday the 6th)?
So the river hasn't backed up into the open water spring area, or is there tannic water currently in the spring area?
I would check with the park before I committed to Madison 850 971 5003. Otherwise peacock is wide open at least for the next few days. I just got here to the swanee dive camp And the river is way up But so is the Aquifer so we're good hopefully I haven't heard about Little River but if I was to guess its either blown are getting there
We might give Madison a go tomorrow then, of course calling ahead first to check on things.
If you look at the USGS gauge the river at Highway 6 (Madison) has gone up 3ft since 6/29,but if you look at Valdosta to the north, the river has gone up 10ft. This may be a great time to catch Madison, because somewhere along the way there will be a period of no flow, which means there can be some great viz past Martz. BUT,be warned, reversal is not far away.
