Has anyone had their diverite light cord switched to their "new and improved" black cord yet?
I am just not sure that I want to go through losing my primary light again on a "lots of work" dive. You know, the kind where you haul your gear across swamp and mudholes. Only to get there and have the light work for 1 min and then "go out". Only to turn it off and then turn it on, and it works again for a short time. You figure out that if the cord is "moved" it goes out, so you switch to a backup light. Now the dive sucks because you did all this work to have an enjoyable dive and now you're looking at stuff 30 ft away from you instead of 100ft.
This current cord was the third time I have sent my light in and they said I got the "upgraded glands", but the light only lasted 8 dives this time. (the least of any of the times)
So... has anyone actually "field tested" their new cord? I really do not want to go through this problem again.
I am honestly thinking of selling this light and going to the Salvo. (sorry Jordan, it's true.)
