    No, they can't manage something of that scale. Sadly someone else will buy it. probably private.

    There are ways to obtain property like this,and make sure it doesn't become an RV park. For example the land across the street from Peacock,this was purchased by land trust funds.

    That's MPEN in the photo from this board. She's a newer, but very good cave diver who just got accepted to a master's program at the University of Florida.

    There are MUCH bigger issues going on with this site and Warm Mineral -- MUCH MUCH MUCH bigger. It involves the City of North Port and the County.

    If the CDs is looking for sites to buy... there are several in Wakulla and a few in Leon co's.... with great cave that needs protecting.

    Curt (curtbowen on here) has been attending the City Council meetings; he knows far far more about everything that is going on than I do.
