Default Some questions about an upcoming cave class....

I have a App/Full cave class scheduled with L Greene on Oct 6th... Was kinda curious what the current or projected conditions will be like? Any specualtions? Also, anyone travelled from Indiana/Ohio along 75 to Florida to know what gasoline and conditons are along the way? Anything to be prepared for with all the Katrina stuff etc? Thanks guys..

Fuel and other conditions are normal.

I came up and down I-65 to and from Indiana to the Florida Panhandle yesterday and today - no issues whatsoever, and fuel is both available and back to close to its pre-Katrina levels.

I saw no indications of any disruption anywhere along the way.

I expect I-75 will be likewise ok, unless we get another strom in the interiim.

Tropical Storm Rita is currently heading west and is predicted to pass just south of the Florida Keys before it enters the Gulf Of Mexico. It's fully expected to become a hurricane. Its current predicted path is towards the Texas coast, but it's uncertain where it'll make landfall at this time.

Here is the latest report on it:
