Default WTB backplate and wing, or sidemount harness

I'm preparing for my cavern course soon, and I'll need a good bp+w for it. I'd like it to be usable with both doubles and singles. I'd prefer a steel back plate and I'm fine with 45lb lift capacity. I would prefer that the inflator be included. Nothing fancy required. I'm also interested in any sidemount harness for a similar price. I'm willing to pay up to 250, let me know if that's unrealistic. Local to Tampa, but I'll drive to meet you.

    Thank you.

They've got good deals on packages. Someone on here may beat that, just to help you out, but that price is pretty cheap.

A word about trying to get one thing for singles and doubles: don't. I tried, and failed miserably. The backplate and harness will be interchangeable, but you'll most likely want a singles wing and a doubles wing.

I've used a Dive Rite Trek wing for both singles and doubles, and it works fine for each.

But on another note, I strongly recommend against taking a cavern course in an unfamiliar configuration. The course was designed to be conducted in "open water configuration." If you want to take it in a backplate/wing, go make twenty or thirty dives in them first. There are just too many new things to learn to be worrying about your gear.

Slüdge is right, although I would never take cavern in OW configuration if you intend on continuing with cave training. Take the time to get comfortable in cave gear, and make sure you're in trim at rest.

Sidemount is the way to go if you want a rig that will work for doubles and a single aluminum 80. Not sure I'd go SM for cavern without a class or a mentor. If that's how you decide to go though, I have a UTD Z-wing/Nomad buttplate harness I'd sell.

I definitely intend to spend lots of time getting familiar with my gear - I won't try cavern with strange gear. Thank you for the advice, though - I appreciate it.

I'm in Crystal River and have a good dual purpose wing for sale.

Rec Wing (non-donut) in excellent condition - $125

I'm also putting a bunch of other gear in another post.

How tall and big are you? I'm in the process of selling gear right now and I have a DSS (Deep Sea Supply) BP that will be for sale soon.

I have the long version (https://www.deepseasupply.com/index.php?product=115) I'm 6' 6" at 340lbs. It will include the harness and buckle. (The harness (I think) hasn't been cut.)

Reply or PM me for more details if you'd like.

EDIT: I do have the wing but, Tobin customized it for me. The air vent is on the right hand side instead of the left. (I only have one-arm, the right one.)

    Just me being me.
